This article will detail how to effectively track user actions via an audit trail report within your application.
Accessing Your Application’s Audit Trail #
- Go to the Reporting page in your application.
- Select Predefined reports.
- Within the predefined reports section, navigate to User reports.
When you access the list of all user reports, you’ll see various reports. Look for User’s audit trail to track and monitor user actions logged for audit purposes throughout the application.
In the Audit Trail report, you have the option to apply filters to focus on specific timeframes. This allows you to monitor and track a variety of user actions. For instance, you can:
- Keep tabs on when a user logs into the application.
- Observe instances of failed login attempts.
- Monitor situations during a test where a user initiates and subsequently ceases to violate browser lock-down rules.
To filter for a specific time-frame:
- Click on the Filter button.
- Specify the start and end dates for the events.
- Apply the filter to view the selected actions within the defined time-frame.
This report proves particularly valuable when, for example, conducting an extended two-day test, as it enables you to filter and review specific user actions over distinct time periods.
